Our Story

We are a team, first and foremost! Between us, we bring a balanced and robust set of skills and knowledge to this vocation. We are Amber and Emanuel and we love living in right relations with the land.

Amber is from the foothills of Northern California originally, but she has traveled and worked all over the world. She is an Environmental Scientist working across industries for over 20 years to make a valuable contribution to human health and the environment. Her early career focused on soil and water quality concerns and natural resource management methods in both agricultural and urban settings. This fed her growing interest in carbon sequestration and processed based restoration, and how the careful use of livestock can support these stewardship goals. Being on the land and learning in community are her favorite aspects of this work. She has been directly supporting farmers, ranchers, and nonprofit advocacy groups in the ag space for the past six years. She is familiar with stone fruits and apples, pollinators, rows crops, herbs, pasture management, dairy goats, and poultry. Amber is passionate about stacking ecosystem services and improving resilience and productivity on working lands.

Ema is from the Santa Fe Province in Argentina and grew up working at a 200 head dairy ranch and attending farm school during his adolescent years. There he learned how to butcher and process pigs, cattle, and poultry as part of the weekly instruction. He is an absolute animal lover and has been a companion dog trainer for over 10 years. He is especially fond of horses and is excited to be working with Livestock Guardian Dogs now; a unique and specific type of dog breed meant to to protect livestock from predators. He is a handy fella, having worked in the woodworking industry and is knowledgeable about tools, equipment, and infrastructure.

We are beginning farmers and ranchers. We value living in harmony and balance with nature. Our land is leased and does not have any certifications, but we use regenerative and biodynamic practices. We value clean air and water, healthy soils, and an integrated approach to land management. We appreciate respect, equality, and compassion.

We created this hybrid agribusiness in order to offer natural resource management consulting services paired with land rehabilitation options that utilize grazing animals like goats and sheep. We raise our livestock for grazing primarily, but we love the meat, milk, and fiber products that we are able to produce in a regenerative and respectful way. And we want to share the bounty with you!

Eventually, we hope to own our own land and have a diverse operation that offers a mix of fresh and preserved vegetables and herbs as well as value added products like teas, spices, soaps, and lotions.
